Roel steers the strategic direction of Mercuron. With his background in telecom business and project management, he built Mercuron into a leading player in indoor coverage solutions.

Sam Smekens

COO — Chief Operation Excellence

Sam Smekens

Sam is the technical driving force behind Mercuron. As an RF engineer he guards the quality of every design and sets the technological course for GSM, ASTRID and MO-DAS systems.

Kristof Vanremoortele

Kristof makes sure every project runs smoothly from intake to handover. He coordinates operations, the planning teams and the collaboration with network owners and authorities.

RF Engineer

Calculates coverage scenarios, selects the right equipment and draws up the antenna plan. The technical backbone of every project.

Performs the initial on-site measurements. Measures signal levels, maps interference and delivers the data for the RF design.

ASTRID Specialist

Expert in the specific requirements of the ASTRID network (TETRA). Ensures correct coordination with the ASTRID organisation and formal validation of the installation.
